Perak has the potential in terms of food resources and land availability that can be utilized to enhance the production of existing local biological resources in the state. This aims to meet the demand for halal food products in both local and international markets (import and export).

Agrifood Production Output and Food Crop Area Ratio:

The agri-food production output is projected to grow by 190.7 percent, from 691 million kg in 2015 to 2 billion kg in 2040, with a focus on production areas in Selama, Manong, Seberang Perak, Bagan Serai, Parit Buntar, Titi Serong, and Pengkalan Hulu.

The area of food crop land per land area by state is projected to grow by 15.4 percentage points, from 4.6 percent in 2015 to 20.0 percent in 2040.
